ABOUT KERRY

Kerry Bruce is an abstract, expressionist artist with her studio located in Kiama on the South Coast of NSW. Kerry uses masses of lush paint and beautiful bold pigments to create the vibrant florals and blooms that appear to burst from the canvas.

“I am an artist with a passion to create happy, beautiful colourful pieces of art. My artwork at present is those gorgeous flowers that keep calling me to paint. The most important aspect of my work is capturing the exuberance of a vase of florals. I am inspired by the shapes and energy in the bloom and, no matter how many times I paint that vase of flowers, a new interpretation of beauty evolves. 

An award-winning artist, Kerry has exhibited in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Regional NSW.

At a time when I particularly needed something special for the soul, I attended Kerry’s Art Retreat in Kangaloon - Wow! What a magic time I had, meeting new friends, eating specially prepared divine food and feeling spoilt staying in the most enviable accommodation. Most of all, learning fabulously creative new painting techniques from the amazingly talented Kerry Bruce!

Over the past few years, I have participated in various artist retreats, weekends away, and workshops, but none matched this one.

 It's five-star treatment all the way. As the artist, herself says "…I want you to be treated the way I liked to be treated and nothing less." The accommodation – Perfect; the food – sensational and oh so fresh and yummy; the sessions – well thought out and planned. Even the fellow participants were lovely and easy to get along with. 

By weeks end, I left restored, rejuvenated, and enthused with artworks I am proud of. I want to keep painting, as Kerry reignited my love for painting. Thank you Kerry, can’t wait for Mudgee retreat 2021. Cheers
